Manager of New Ventures, Johnson & Johnson

As the Manager of New Ventures at the Johnson & Johnson’s Center for Device Innovation at Texas Medical Center . Joanna dedicates her time to identifying opportunities to accelerate breakthrough technologies. Prior to her current role, Joanna was a Venture Fellow at Mercury Fund, as well as Director of Product Development at Saranas.

Joanna’s innovative experience doesn’t stop there. She founded Enventure – a non-profit led by students and young entrepreneurs passionate about Houston’s medical technology industry. Enventure provides entrepreneurship and experiential learning opportunities for over 1,500 young aspiring entrepreneurs. While earning her MBA, Joanna combined her entrepreneurial mindset and passion for medical innovation, founding LilySpec to redesign the vaginal speculum for the first time in over a century.

Joanna Nathan earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Bioengineering, as well as her MBA at Rice University. While on campus, she served as President for the Jones School of Business Student Association, and remains involved post-graduation on the Executive Committee for the Rice Engineering Alumni Association.
