About RAEI Chapters

Regional RAEI Chapters design and direct activities that meet the needs of local members, while serving as a regular point of contact for alumni. Chapters provide a variety of local programming that fosters an inclusive and welcoming community.

We ask that every chapter aim to consistently engage with their members by:

  • Hosting 1+ social events per year
  • Supporting RAEI and Lilie alumni events
  • Communicating effectively with members
  • Building a reliable leadership team of local RAEI alumni volunteers

Getting Started

  1. Find other RAEI alumni nearby
You can use the Rice Directory, along with our Slack, LinkedIn, and Facebook pages to determine how many alumni are in your area.
  2. Plan your first event
No need to go all out! Keep it simple, inexpensive, and fun – like a happy hour or meet-and-greet
  3. Ask for help
Keep an eye out for alumni that would be interested in helping volunteer or lead on behalf of your chapter. Feel free to reach out to our team if you need any ideas, help finding locals, or have questions
  4. Send us your contact information
Chapter leaders – along with committee members – are encouraged to share their name, email, and headshot which we will share on website!
  5. Become a chapter area contact
Email us for more information. As a chapter leader, your name and email address will be displayed on our Chapter’s page
